Well, eBay just isn't a place to make money anymore. Sure, if you want to dump something at a loss, then maybe it's okay. But to actually MAKE a profit? Nah, not really.

 

Unless you happen to be selling STOLEN items.... then you might make a profit, maybe.

Oh no, nothing like that. Just making the point that the only way to make money on eBay today, is if you didn't pay anything for what you are selling. It's just a bit of a joke pointing out that stolen materials is one way to do that.

 

I have no idea if this seller does any such thing. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough.

If Scott Eaton was at a show, he would easily sell that page for $30 - $40. Yes, it's Prof. X but someone would buy it. At a total cost of ownership at $20, I think the buyer got a good deal.

 

I feel bad for the seller since his time to pack and ship the art is certainly worth more than $1.

I actually Bought a page from that series before the book came out (I had to wait until the book came out to take possession) and I payed 100 for a splash page. I bought it from John Dell and he is pretty cheap.
