Comic book artists reveal their 'Secret Identities' with Purdue visit

March 30. 7:30 p.m. Stewart Center's Fowler Hall. A group of comic book artists and writers, including former West Lafayette resident Bernard Chang, will discuss "Secret Identities," give an interactive presentation and sign books. Chang, who lived in West Lafayette from 1978-82 when his father was a Purdue professor, is an artist for "Iron Man" and "Wonder Woman." In addition to Chang, "Secret Identities" editors Jeff Yang, Parry Shen, Keith Chow and Jerry Ma will make presentations. "Secret Identities" uses characteristics of superhero comic books to expose the real face of the Asian-American experience, usually hidden behind the mask of misperception and stereotype.
