I saw something else that caught my eye. Always been a fan (of Del-otto, not GI Joe), but the GI Joe definately got me looking

I want a piece by him too just haven't found the right one. Would love the Joker vs. Batman painting but the person who has that has owned it before most people in this country ever even knew about it.

He is an incredible artist. No doubt !!!

If you get a commission from him...he will put a ton of work into that piece.

Look at all the commission pieces that are posted on CAF. They are INCREDIBLE !!

 

I have a great commission piece from him....worth every penny (Dollar...) !

Not sure exactly as I'm not the original owner of the Silver Surfer Dell'Otto cover I have. I can tell you what I paid for it if you think it would help.

One of the best recent artists as far as I'm concerned. I can't afford him but wow!

 

This next bit is an observation, not a complaint, not a slam.

 

As great as the Dell'Otto pieces are, they don't hold their value in the short run. Buying new/current/this year OA seems to be like buying a new car. It seems to lose value the minute it leaves the artist's "lot".

 

It's not just Dell'Otto. Alex Ross, J.G. Jones, Stephane Roux are all in the same boat. At least, that's what I see when watching the art change hands in the course of a year or two.
