A list of all newstand comic book publishers?

Happy Holidays to all! Well, the kids have opened all their presents and now I have some time to relax. As I was reading one of my old Amazing Heroes I came across this Information Center article. Since there has been some talk over in Ian's threads about collecting all comics of a publisher I think that displaying this article might lead to something interesting.

 

I am sure this list is not entirely accurate and I know that some of the smaller publishers are missing but it is interesting seeing the output of all comics until the mid-80s. The ones I know are missing are Regor, Bimfort, Albrecht, Peter George (all one-shot publishers), Enwil, O.W., and a few others I can't remember now.

Hey metarog, what was the date and # of this issue of Amazing Heroes? I see Don cut off his listing at 1985 and talked about recent publishing increases by First et al... and I see a reference at the end regarding roughly 1987 as about the current date... so...?
