IRS pedigree

I've only seen it mentioned once. It was a raw book advertised as NM/M, and the book was ASM 41. I don't know how the grading was, but I remember checking the feedback the guy left after receiving the book and I don't think the buyer was all that pleased.

I have heard of this Pedigree but dont know nothing about it any help would be nice thanx.
It was a collection accumulated by a former employee of the Colorado Revenue Service who financied his collection by embezzling $$. When he was caught, his collection was sold off to pay off the amounts that was stolen. RTS Unlimited bought the books. From what I remembered, the major keys weren't present or in great shape!

The IRS collection was long & deep. Even in San Diego July, 2003, there were still triples availiable of some obscure vf #1 Gold Keys from the 60s. 893blahblah.gif

As a long time dealer/collector,I just want to remind you there was not a big market for obscure Gold Keys when this collection hit the market.Times have changed but at the time I don't recall any ooohs and aaaas about this collection.

BTW-Do you know if this was the source of the several HG Frankenstien Jrs that popped up this fall?

Like Greggy says, the IRS collection is not a pedigree at all - just a COLLECTION of a bunch of comics put together through various sources by a fellow who has the same name (coincidentally?) as your User ID. Hi Aaron! How's life in the slammer! cool.gif
