If I could, you may want to move this thread over to the

"hey brother help me with grading" forum. You can post the

scans there, and if you post a note here as to what you're

doing it'll help all the vultures scope out your wares more precisely.

That way you'll get all the critique and help you may want or not want ...

edited to say I also like scoping... :popcorn:

Mary,

Where did he get the scanner? I got a really decent one at Best Buy for under a $100.00. You can always sell it to one of the boardies after you are done with your selling thread and get that money back. A lot of these guys are always looking for a newer/upgraded scaner.

Got a HPDeskJet all in one printer scanner copier. For 100.00.

I am installing it as we speak, and will scan all books that were pointed out on my post first. So If there is anything you would like to see let me know.

At this point, I think we've moved beyond the "information gathering" phase of these posts, and now have two de facto (pre-)sales threads running from the original poster here in the General forum.

I know that the books haven't been graded or scanned yet, but we still have:

(1) lists of books with titles and issue numbers;

and

(2) a clear intent to sell them.

So shouldn't all of this be moved to the "announcements" section of the Marketplace Forum? Or the threads be closed until the seller is ready to make a proper sales post?

Mary,

You don't have to move anywhere. These two threads are important to you because interested parties are telling you which books might have some value. You could call this phase one and it's going to give you an idea of what to scan and eventually put into "buddy can you spare a grade", which you could call phase two. Get at least 5 or 6 opinions on grade and especially listen to the Veteran Member's opinions. (Ask TMoore who has good grading skills and listen to his grades.) Then, find Fair Market Value (phase three) That's a bit tricky because most data is given in CGC Graded sales values. You can always check ComicLink.com like I showed you to see a ballpark for what a book in your grade is going for (not the asking price but the sales price and/or bids).

Finally, last phase, sell. Follow the directions to sell like I told you in a PM and you shouldn't have any problems. Remember to include shipping charges if you are not including shipping.
