Opinions wanted

136 posts in this topic

The sales thread is in writing. So it's not really a "your word, his word" situation.

I suppose the seller could claim it was a typo (CGC vs CGG). I'm assuming the listing didn't have a pic.....correct?

What does that have to do with the subject at hand?

I'm with Beyonder what the hell does it have to do with the subject at hand.

Really guys WTF

No wonder this board has so many pizzing matches.

The point was he was whining about the return shipping because he didn't have a job. If you don't have a job, why are you purchasing books?

If people don't want all opinions, don't ask for them.

Read it again. The seller was whining about return shipping ("times are tough... :blahblah: ).

Does the OP owe you money? If not....then what's it to you if he's buying books while unemployed? ( which he wasn't)

Isn't it about time for you to drink up or light up? (shrug)

Before you pass judgement on me for spending money on drugs & alcohol yesterday while simutaneously being unemployed...you should know that I am currently employed. :P

How did that happen? :o

I felt guilty about buying slabs while unemployed....so I went out & got a job.

Just sit down, take a deep breath and it will pass. :wishluck:

Slym,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Sorry also, for the replies that were not on the subject at hand.

Yes, you should not have to pay return shipping.

However, its probably not worth the agitation to argue it.

Do you like the book? Agree with the grade? If so, keep it and enjoy it!

Correct, no pic - but, although he claimed it was typo in the original thread, the thread has a list of comics, and this is under the CGC books heading. Also, in the five PMs exchanged by me with him, we both typed out CGC numerous times, enough to where you'd think anyone would have caught their mistake before ever proceeding with the sale.

Next time, I will want to see pics/scans.....

:frustrated:

It's a book I need for my run, but 1) I don't agree with the grade and 2) it was a little (NOT very, but a little) pricey, but I figured for a CGC book, a few dollars extra isn't going to hurt. I would not have paid full price for a CGG/PGX/POS book.

Even with the typo it's still his mistake and you shouldn't have to pay for it.

:gossip:I don't think it was really a typo.....

I know, I was just trying to be nice :insane:

If nothing else....you'll know never to buy a slab without a pic again. ^^

That, and not to trust someone on a message board, no matter what.

I understand your sentiment, but that's a broad stroke. There are some A-1 people here that I would even trust with my kids.

How about some scans of the book?

I am waiting until I know something from the seller before giving away anything too detailed. It was a mid-grade SA book, I will say that.

Funny... Namor, Torchy, The Angel, Electro, even Ka-Zar are all still around in some form or another - but what about the Ferret?
