to identify a issue of a comic unique?

 

I know that with the UPC you can indentify the serie and number but it's possible to identify a unique comic? like this comic it's the 450 of a run of 36,000?

Not possible for "regular old comics".

 

Besides the obvious... the individually hand-numbered books,

which may only mean #450 "in the stack that was signed"

and not necessarily #450 "with 449 produced right before this one"...

 

I think it was "Triumphant Comics" in the 1990s who put serial numbers

on their comics... so, yes, for Triumphant, you could know #450 out of 36,000.

(Chromium Man, Doctor Chaos, Riot Gear, Scavengers...)

 

But the UPCs don't tell you anything "unique" about the books.
