Post your covers with skulls on them!

is the skull the most dominant archetypal image/mask of all comics?

I was responding to a witching hour thread, and it got me to thinking.

What is it about skulls that is so pervasive and interesting throughout the history of the comics world?

Can you think of any other mask that has been emulated more across all ages?

And think of some of the best, most coveted covers ever. I would argue that many included skulls on them

(even hero covers).

Not at home, but here are some from the bronze grey tone thread I posted earlier.

I remember some horror comic's cover, had a skeleton "floating" (snicker) in a lime-pit.

There's a personal childhood "blast from the past"... now, to figure out which comic that was............
