What is the difference between a Holochrome and a Chromium cover?

Thank-you Mr. RockMyAmadeus.

I believe you've cleared all that up rather nicely.

Many people hate all those types of gimmicks but I love them.

Some of the best art is usually reserved for the special treatment and they usually come out looking quite beautiful.

They are special comics, in my opinion.

Trivia: does anyone know what was the very FIRST comic book to have a completely chromium cover?

1st chromium comic = Bloodshot #1 - a chromium card applied to the front cover

1st full chromium cover = X-O Manowar #0 - chromium used as the whole cover front/back one-piece

1st full holochrome cover = Ninjak #1 Gold - full chromium cover with holographic effect

First comic with a hologram on the cover? Boffo Laffs #1 (ParaGraphics, 1986)

First lenticular cover? ARComics Premiere #1

Name all the MODERN cover gimmicks!

Thanks. Now can you tell me what the difference is between a foil cover and a holofoil cover?
