do folks still collect cards?

I had all the BB from 52-80 (only topps) and all the football from 60-80 (topps and Phil) but sold them in the early 80's...

That pic really takes me back. Reminds me of a flea market here in CT back in the early 80s. Went there one time with my dad and one guy was selling 1976 Topps football rack packs. My dad bought bunches of them for me for about a quarter a piece. Another guy had tons of 1981 Topps football wax packs. Bought many of them as well.

Those sets are big in nice shape.52 is 60k.But like everything people are putting together graded sets.I see registery style(all cards graded 9 ,8 etc) sets at auction from time to time

So yes that would be huge today.

Those were the years I collected, like 79-82, they look quite familiar.
