Black Panther #s 8 & 9 (MK)

I am wondering, back when these were new, they were HTF and in demand (not sure why.) These two issues were part 2 & 4 of the "Wild Kingdom" story crossing over from X-Men.

 

Are these still worth what the hype drove them up to 3+ years ago?

Well, I remember at the time being told by the guy at my LCS (not the one I worked at, this was later) that I was lucky he put these in my hold-box for me. He knew I was an X-Nut and didn't have these on my list, but he knew I'd want to read the whole story. He said he was sold out and couldn't get any more... maybe it was just hype.

Me too, I got them from my LCS so that I could read the full story (not that it was really worth it) and there was a plentiful supply of them.
