I don't remember that either. I was watching ebay for 4 weeks hourly looking for a chew #1 that I wanted and never saw a raw copy sell for that much.

if your just looking for 4 weeks thats not in any way a long enough period of time sorry, ive been watching for more like 4 months. I might not know much about a bunch of comics, but On CHEW i know alot.

Congrats? A whole 4 months you say?

You found one listing which is an anomaly to prove your point of a downward trend? It's a BIN and auctions in the same week sold for $265.

You're not making a case with these listings. :gossip:

The high dude! In order for the ship to be sinking there needs to be a fall in prices. What was the peak for a raw #1? Barely over 300 so one auction and one BIN does not a trend make.

Peak for raw 1 was slightly over 400. so 400-230=170 and id say thats a wee bit of a drop?

And actually even with your example, which appears to be a one time deal, it was not slightly over $400. ;)

I understand after stating the ship is sinking you want to make your case but you are actually proving it is not sinking by stretching the few examples.

The average has fluctuated between $250 and $300 for some time now.

why wouldn't you look at GPA listings for 9.8's- at least there's a measure of uniformity in those books. there seems to be two outliers in both directions this year but the other sales seemed to fall between $450 and $600 pretty consistently.

Ok. So to recap you said this

I had this one on my watch list and then I had a meeting. Great price for the run.

WHY are chew prices dropping faster than a Boat made of concrete with holes in it?!

Followed by this

And then this

lucky? you could easily score a chew nm number 1 for under 300 now

The fact is you have always been able to buy a raw #1 for under $300. You mentioned the highest and lowest selling price in the last 6 months to claim a trend?

There are no sinking ships

You can get a #1 raw for about the same price for the last 6 months

Not looking for any gooning or whatever you called it. you made a statement which is in fact not true.

Thanks! (thumbs u
