OT: New ebay 5 free listings deal - Sample fee comparisons!

Has anyone created or found an Excel formula or web site calculator that will help you choose whether to list something with the "free listing" option?

 

For instance it should be possible, based on your starting price and expected/anticipated sales price, to calculate the cost both ways so you can see which is the better choice.

 

Just want to spare myself the brain strain if this has already been done!

Found a calculator but it doesn't indicate it's been updated for the mid-June changes to show you the "free" vs regular fees comparison.

Slight glitch in the previous sample data where the last 6 rows should show $0 in the Free List column, but that doesn't impact the results.

Another thing to bear in mind in addition to the objective comparison of the costs, is that the free listing option comes with $0 cost if the item doesn't sell!

It appears that the free listing option is good only for auctions, not fixed price items.

Right, but if you simply list them at the Buy-It Now price, it seems it might be a better option. Risk no money, and the fees paid should be lower in some price ranges if the book does sell.
