I was a big fan of Man-Spider...it was a WHAT IF? story that begged the question: What if a radioactive human bit a spider? A great parody by Fred Hembeck (I think).

Fred Hembeck certainly is one of the masters of that kind of story material.

There is something about the, what I call, big foot stories and art. I enjoyed them as much as a super hero storyline. They were short and funny.

 

I am excited to see that there are a few admirer of that kind of material out there, always good to know I am not alone :-)
