Maybe so. I thought GPA was around $4k. Dunno for sure, my subscription to GPA lapsed doh!

I'm sure others will confirm this momentarily, 4, 3, 2, 1 . . . ;)

Time to subscribe again... :baiting:

Yeah, I know :P

I just moved, my credit card info needs updating

and I'll be right back on line again.

Funny how much you miss having it when it's gone.

Going to be $5K+

I just glanced at GPA last night because I was curious as to the price but isn't this more of a $9K book based on sales in and about that grade range? Maybe I looked at #4 by mistake?

Really? CL just sold that 7.0 for $10,200. How would a 6.0 be worth $6K?

Looking at that one, I'm not sure how mine isn't a 7.0 instead of only a 6.5...

(maybe because my pages are only OW-W it stinks, but I'll post when it arrives this week).

+1

I will not point out all of the issues, but I owned 5.0 copies in the past that looked pretty much the same as this one................

That being said, I also owned 4.5s that looked like 3.5s. lol

You will notice I said "glanced" and I think I did look at issue #4 by mistake, I always get those two issues crossed. Prices this past year range from: $3,320/$950 but I guess the WP's will blow these numbers away. I might even bid on it. hm

I must concur with that. Still, it does have those lovely WP :cloud9:

+1 :cloud9:

Does that mean the premium should be based on a 5.0 starting price, or 6.0? (shrug)

The premium starts at 5.0...next premium starts at 6.0....and big jump premium starts at 7.0. Though the premium from 5.0 to 6.0 has narrow a bit lately, but of course eye appeal and PQ will factor what kind of premium with the above grades mention. BTW, for what I know...there has not been any 5.0 selling sub $2K in quite a while and there has only been two 7.0 offered in the last 2 1/2 years. :hi:

What I meant is the base that the WP premium starts at. If you buy the book, the base starts from 5.0. If you buy the label, it starts significantly higher.

In any case, the recent Clink results show how far this book has fallen. That is great news - might be time to dip a toe in the water again for a more accurately graded copy. hm

All WP books should command at least a small premium or more depending on the availability. For SC22...a bit more. There are now four SC22 WP's: .5, 1.8,6.0,6.0. I would say the bigger premium for WP for SC22 starts at 4.0 and rises...or at least what I would pay for in terms of bigger premium, Seriously, I had my SC22 6.0 raw before graded and I can confirm the freshness and the nice PQ of my copy...it was so well preserved. Now, regarding the SC22 6.0...could just be as nice and very rare opportunity for anyone wanting to add a nice mid-grade and PQ SC22. (thumbs u

This is a light slight visible crease on the right bottom corner sides keeping it from being a 7.0. And then...minor non breaking colors on the cover and other characteristics of a 6.0. It does presents like a 6.5-7.0.

Which makes it a more tightly and accurately graded book than the 5.0, err 6.0, Sparkle City copy up on eBay.

That being said, the Sparkle City copy might not have been graded in the past month or so. While I definitely appreciated the gift grades I received during the summer, I have noticed that CGC has tightened up over my last couple of submissions from October. (thumbs u

Based on that, I wonder if the grading fluctuations are more due to the volume of books they see at different times of the year. For example, if the con season results in a spike in submissions they need to push through then 1) there will be more loose grades due to volume and 2) graders may rush more and miss things. It might be interesting to resub books graded during convention off-season during a more busy time to see if that seasonality holds true. hm
