showcase22gr1959
What is the criteria for being on "your list"? I ask because obviously there are a lot more slabbed books on the census, than there are on your list. Is your list just board members? The list is of "known" info....owners/high sales....that's all, nothing else. Any other sales/owners supplied data will be added. Well said. (thumbs u Also, all copies have to be blue label and the high grade list contains only 6.0+ owners.

kimik
I really wish I had held onto that 2.0/2.5 I had last year that I bought for $450 or so and sold for $600.

kimik
Yes. I will have to double check on the exact price though as it might have only been for $550 or $575 thinking about it further. If I recall correctly, it had OW pages as well.
VintageComics
I really wish I had held onto that 2.0/2.5 I had last year that I bought for $450 or so and sold for $600. Don't feel bad. I sold a raw 2.5/3.0 and a raw 3.0/3.5 (or something like that) for about $600 total and then they both flipped for double that a few weeks later. I had no idea how hot the book was. bheezy19
I actually bought that copy from Kimik. Thanks again! For what its worth, the book is very much appreciated/loved. Final price was $550. And, yes it has OW pages.

I did well with the other copies I owned. Gone are the good old days of paying $1200 - $1300 for slabbed 5.0s. It was fun contacting all of the online comic dealers just as things were starting to take off and paying full asking price for the few copies I could find. Most of them were still unaware of its popularity at the time..............

Flash105
Does SC22 still have a ways to go to catch SC4? A much debated question on these boards. Tonights evidence. In the CL auction two similar books werenselling at the same time one right over top of the other. SC 4 CGC 3.5 2300.00 SC 22 CGC 4.5 2051.

Flash105
So do you think a 9.6 SC 22 if it exists would bring 160K, taking in account there would also have to be a 9.2 and 9.4 to compare things evenly. The last 9.0 sold for 59K and that was at the height of the mania. The last 8.5 SC 4 that sold brought over 30K and it was dog copy Mohawk two years ago. showcase22gr1959
I think a great eye appeal SC22 in 9.2 can fetch 100K. Time will tell if we will ever going to see one 9.2+. If I recall, the Mohawk went up for auction again in 2009 and it sold for around $28K. The only SC22 8.5 that won't fetch strong will be the MC copy which sold after the mania. The mania has picked up steam again, and it very speculative on the direction of SC22. What I found interesting is all those people paying a premium for GL 76 in 9.4+ should have put there money on SC22 in 7.0+.
