Batman #404 cover price variant?!?!

I've got a copy of Batman 404 with a $1.00 cover price. Every other copy I've seen has had a 75 cent cover price. This copy does not appear to be foreign, or a reprint... anyone ever seen one of these before???

Is there a Canadian variant maybe?

 

I'll have to check my copies and see if they are all $.75 or not.

it is, indeed, foreign...

 

It's the canadian newsstand version.

 

They exist from about 1983-Sept, 1988 on almost all DCs that were distributed via newsstands in Canucklelandia.
