Issues that are cut too big or too small

1 post in this topic

I received a book in the mail today -- Iron Man Annual #4. At first I thought it must be

trimmed, as strange as that would be for a relatively cheap issue that was not CGC'd.

The book was vertically challenged to the tune of almost 1/4 inch.

However, on doing some research, it seemed nearly every copy I could find a photo of...

from the Gerber copy to issues for sale on ebay...was equally sized, based on what was

seen at the top and bottom edges compared to mine. I can only conclude that this

issue was just produced "shorter" than it should have been.

It reminded me of Amazing Spider-Man Annual 9, a book that I've always found to be taller

than it should.

Can anyone else confirm that their copy of IM A4 is shorter than it should be?

Has anyone else come across issues that are always tall or short relative to contemporary

issues?
