Marvel Science Stories Vol. 1, #1 = $145 :news:SOLD :news:

First use of "Marvel" logo.

This copy is in superb condition (by pulp standards). The spine is complete and there is very little chipping. There is overhang (to be expected). This copy is glossy with nice supple off-white pages.

Out of This World Vol. 1, #1 & #2 set = $200 $175

I would like to see if I could sell these as a set. Each pulp contains a 32 page color "comic" inside that feature cool stories with wonderful artwork.

Each issue is in great condition, for a pulp, with intact spines and very little chipping.

Planet Stories Vol.2, #1 = $50 :news:SOLD :news:

This is a really nice glossy copy with wonderfully rich colors that I hope show in the scan.

There are a couple of 1/2" tears on the bottom of the spine and a tiny piece of paper loss on the top of the spine.

Overall a superb copy to own.

Nice grab.

Just looking at these great pulp covers you can see where the torch was being passed to comics to take readers to the future by their influence on comic covers during that age.

I like how covers from pulps were recreated into comic covers of later decades like this one which preceded Planet comics #48

What is the "comic equivalent" of this key?

Action #1 ?

Detective #27 ?

All American #16 ?

Call it Batman # 1. The Action # 1 of pulps for comic collectors is the All-story with the first Tarzan.

This Amazing Stories is not quite the 'Tec 27 since it's much more easily found like Bats 1.
