If he can PROVE to paypal that the "goods received" are not what he paid for (what was advertised), then Paypal will reverse the transaction.

*pause*

ok...good luck with that...

Not from what I've heard from others. Paypal will treat it as a "quality of goods" issue and won't refund the $$ IF the seller followed all the shipping requirements (confirmation...etc)

I just spoke to him again and he said Paypal told him to not sign for the package and refuse it if the seller insists on shipping it to him after he told him he wanted a refund because the book was a reprint and in two weeks he can file a claim for non-delivery and get a refund of him money.

If he/she paid with a credit card through paypal, then call the credit card company and have them reverse the charges. But they must send the item back to get credit. Send the book back insured for the same amount and with signature confirmation. You can use that as backup that you sent the comic back in good faith. Normally, the credit card can't reverse the charges until 30 days have gone by, but if you discuss it with them first, you won't owe the money or the interest charges. Pay the cc bill as tho the charges never happened.

Hope they paid with credit card on paypal!

This is true, but be aware that some CC companies now refuse chargebacks to 3rd party services such as Paypal. Too much fraud.

BTW, Paypal will not get involved as long as something is shipped and there is a proof of delivery. The seller could send you a brick and paypal won't get involved over "quality of goods" issue.

You can't make it any plainer than that. Good work, Jak!! thumbsup2.gif

Another dead giveaway that should send up flares for this seller (if he's in serious denial), is the absence of the back cover. Being completely different inside and out from the original, anyone representing the book as a 1961 copy would have to eliminate the back cover.

Also, the 24 page count. That's only 6 leafs of pages. The reprint's internal pages contain no ads or any non-story pages of any kind. The original 1961 copy has more interior pages (the normal 28 or 7 leafs of 4 pages each) because it has non-story pages as well.

Don't you mean 32 pages of 8 wraps (leafs)? confused.gif
