I've got a few D copies and most of them look like they would benefit from a pressing so, at least with the Jumbos and Jungles I have, I think they are generally unmolested.

 

:gossip: I'm talking about the ones that are already slabbed and have been sold through a major auction house.

not when I sold like 3 or 4 copies in the 1200 to 1500 range just 2 months ago doh!

I think a lot of the Crippens that sold through Heritage in 2006 were NOT pressed beforehand. I own several Crippens that sold originally through Heritage that could benefit from the process, but plan to keep them just the way they are.

 

Considering the sheer volume of books they had to sort, certify, and put up for auction (plus the fact that the major conservator of choice for Heritage wasn't set up to do pressings "en masse" like he is today), pressing every Crippen book that could benefit from it was logistically impossible at that time.
