The New Year's Resolutions Effect?

Just wondering, albeit almost 3 weeks late, which New Year's Resolution is more likely to have a market impact, if any, on prices early in ANY given year:

 

a) "I'm going to cut back on spending, including comics."

 

b) "I'm finally going to complete my run(s) of ______ this year."

 

Thoughts?

 

Mine were more a combination of the two: Focus spending, thus cutting down overall, on specific areas.
