it all boils down to if persons who care finding a comic book 1849-late 1970s, original art piece, pulp, concert poster or handbill, OZ first edition, movie lobby cards from silents to serials, they might like, make me a reasonable offer, and help me to get this surgery scenario paid for - finally lucked into something i can strive to afford., get repaired, get back in the game, be able to heft my comic book boxes around again, rebuild my comics business and reorganize my comics research files to making my book flow again. If nothing else, just feel sorry for another guy gotten older, and screwed by the unsavory aspects of the USA health care industry system.

we be digging stuff out for a number of PMs - thanks for the response so far. Some of you are asking for stuff not necessarily listed in my ebay store, yet similar to the likes you already see.

 

I can understand that concept, just please keep in mind i have a very hard time just standing these past couple years, rooting around for stuff is what i like to do, alas, it gets to be quite painful, and I am sure there are some who are cheering on that concept,

 

Had not meant to drop out of the CGC boards for as long as i have had. I have limited amount of time I can even sit what with upper body weight bearing down on these hip joints, most of the time spent hoisting stuff up out into eBay store. And getting stuff wrapped and shipped what gets ordered.

 

It would be better for me if we could play table stakes in the main, the stuff I already have large size scans for, and have done all the condition paper grade checks on.

 

There are many 1000s more items to get processed.

 

Anybody have any thoughts on the comics history concept i posed to yah-all ?

Doing all that research i chose to accomplish over the years was expensive when i look back, could have paid for quite a few hip joint replacement operations in hindsight.

 

We are going to continue placing more cool vintage comic books & other assorted art type items into the ebay store every day, so it might behoove every one interested to check it every couple days

Bummer, Rick, I got almost nothing "big" left as my ability to matriculate at the 30 show schedule the last few years i was doing has been curtailed to just 3 a year at Javits, San Diego and Wondercon

 

- and those my kids & such load up, get it there, unload, etc - otherwise no more shows for Bob

Had to take a day and a half off from sitting at computer,

pain got to me, had to lay prone for a while, get the joints out of the socket

 

Yes i do, have lots of circ data kicking around here.

 

Once i get repaired I can get back into the heavy duty research i has been conducting for some time now.

 

I have the circ sold data on the first 16 issues of Action #1. fer instance

 

plus sales data on aspects of the newspaper reprint comics of the day -

 

I even have discovered how many copies of Obadiah Oldbuck SOLD its first year back in 1842-43. Tis in a Brother Jonathan newspaper i acquired last year. Amazing - fodder for my book, lots more data than just what is Overtsreet - they have run out of room for me there.

 

would love to get it to you soon - operation is coming up, need people to buy a book from me now - purty please.
