PGM: Fantastic Four 48

Staple placement shouldn't affect the grade in this instance. But if that's a stain on the top right corner of the BC, it won't grade any higher than an 8.0, IMO. Otherwise it looks like a 9.4ish book to me.

Francisco, is that a tear or a stain on the BC top right corner?

 

If stain or tear I cannot see this book going any higher than 5.0/5.5.

 

Based off the FC alone it looks like a solid 8.5 due to thumb crease top edge.

You are basing this soley on the visual appeal of the book. CGC does not grade that way. They assign a technical grade and CGC hammers stains and tears.

Exactly, Joey is right. CGC is murder on stains, even tiny ones.

Its a tear and there is no stain.
