I have 2 books up for sale today. A bronze X-men and a really old one.

 

First gets it

First book:

 

FOXY GRANDPA FLIP-FLAPS

 

Copyright 1902 (in the original newspapers), copyright 1905 for the book (which was a compilation of newspaper strips). So the book is a first print copy.

 

As for the grade:

 

On the down side - book lost its spine and someone repaired it with 3 rings through the spine

 

On the plus side - the paper is remarkable supple for being 104 years old, there is absolutely no brittleness at all, you can flip through the book safely and read it, and there will be no paper loss

 

Overstreet lists the price as $146 in GOOD

 

This copy is less than GOOD due to the spine, but I am going to price it at $195 175 $150 due to its rarity and see what happens

X-men #111 CGC 9.8 with a PERFECTLY centered cover

 

I have noticed the centering of covers is becoming more and more important in the pricing of high grade bronze books these days.

 

The 2008 GPA average price for this book was $537

 

The 12 month GPA average is $386 with a high of $600 in April 2009

 

My price is $425 400 $375 due to the fact it is a perfectly centered copy with no white line running down the left edge
