I have nothing to do with the sale, but I own another Adkins inked Surfer drawing (from 2006) based on a panel from their run, and it looks terrific. If I didn't already have one, I'd def be bidding on this one.

 

And these aren't just any old recreations, given Dan was an inker on the classic run.

Adkins was a very good inker and a guy that doesn't get enough mention. I like his run on Doctor Strange, also.

I'm confused about what this is from the description.... is this a Buscema/Adkins piece or an Adkins lightbox.... or an Adkins recreation?

 

Also, yes, Adkins was a great inker. I particularly like his run with Kane doing pencils on Captain Marvel..

Like mine, I take it to be a Dan Adkin's recreation (probably enlarged then lightboxed) of a panel from Buscema Surfer run that was inked by Adkins.
