Overstreet Price Guide #1 First Printing - HISTORIC BOOK!!!!

4 posts in this topic

Overstreet Price Guide #1 First Printing (Robert Overstreet, 1970) Condition: FN.

This is the original white-cover first printing of the very first Comic Book Price Guide and is quite scarce (hey, maybe even rare depending upon your perspective!). This first printing was reportedly hand-bound by Mr. Overstreet and his family. At a thick 200 pages, the book probably never should have been staple-bound in the first place. Except for staple tears and browning at the spine, this copy has survived the ravages of time pretty well. It has a plastic cover on it as well.

The history revealed in this book is fantastic. It is worth the cost just to see the prices and pull your hair out!!

Such as a More Fun Comics #52 in Mint for $10; Showcase #4 in Mint for $12! The most expensive book? Action #1 of course. In Mint, a pricey $300!!!! :o

This book helped make comic fandom what it is today and it needs to be treasured. (thumbs u

Note that the current Overstreet Guide only lists GD, FN, and NM values for this item. Overstreet 2009 Fine value = $912; Near Mint value = $1,825.

$650.00
