I see you got a photo of Rick...

You should've dropped by my booth and said hi.

My small table was right in front of that Surfer Statue.

It's kind of funny, but I tricked out my borrowed neighbors daughter's

kiddie chalk art board with peg boards and that is what I used for my figures...

I didn't have much, just a stand full of Star Wars Figures

and a couple of bargin bin dollar boxes.

This was my first show selling and I was just getting a feel of it.

I think the crowd numbers were over 600.

There were things to learn from though and I will talk to Alan about the

upcoming November show to rectify some of yesterdays shortcomings:

- there were two rooms and should've been one larger room

- the other room that was being called too hot had obvious temperature control issues

that needs to change

- one of things that was bad was the way the one small hot room with all the "guests" had

all the people lined up there for a long time to get in, and that made it kind of slow in our room

for the first 2-3 hours of the show.

Plus I am not sure how many people that went to the first room even got directed to the our

room or got fed-up with crowd / heat and and called it a day after the first one.

So with out a doubt - one room is a must, or atleast if we have to have two rooms

they need to be right next to one another.

Anyway, had a ball yesterday and I am looking to take the moneys I took in yesterday

to search for even more dollar bin material. Every comic con needs the cheap skate dealer

and what better than the Pirate to deliver.

Had a very good day......(about time.....shows have been good attendance wise, but slow sales wise)

Notable sales

X-men 9, 10 and 12

Iron Man 55

Green Lantern 76

Kamandi 1 :o (it was a sweet copy....around 9.4)

Some pre-code horror books

plus lots of general 1/2 off bronze and silver

My sales still weren't what I would have expected with this kind of crowd, but acceptable.

648 is a fantastic crowd! Especially for a first show!!

Hopefully show sales are better this year. :wishluck:

We're lucky in this area to have a lot of good one day shows, plus the fantastic Heroes Con once a year.
