It's not a perfect parallel by any means, but still, the similarities are there.

1. ...Hummels have succumbed to the reality of the "made for collectors" marketplace.

 

2. ...ultra rare hummels still ocassionally fetch big bucks

 

Article says the manufactured "limited editions" are selling for 50 bucks. Which is about 50 bucks more than I ever would've paid
