Eh, don't worry about it, I'm mostly joking here anyway. I do need the 9, but I'm underbidding everything today, still saving up for nice copies of AF15 and FF 1, but I'm after neither FF 1 in today's auction.

 

So the Spidey 1 CGC 9.0 in today's auction is the same one that met reserve last auction, but apparently didn't complete the transaction. Last time I think it sold for $44K? This time it doesn't meet reserve at $48K? A $50K or more reserve on that book seems stiff...

It seems to me that 9.0 ASM 1's have been stalled at the 40K glass ceiling for a while now. As for the FF's, I always watch Doug's SA auctions but the material he offers is a couple of levels removed from my sphere of reality. I go for nice presenting 7.5- 9.0 books on the non keys and 2.0- 4.0 on the occasional key that I can swing. GOD BLESS...

P.S. My significant old lady would castrate me if I dropped 12K on a book....her tolerance level starts to thin at around 1 K.
