mine just suck. I scan with "home edition" and thats it. I guess I should have read the manual

My 150dpi scans are larger in pixels yet smaller in file size than some of you guys, mine are consistently around 500K:

I think that you should adjust to 100 dpi. As I recall the resolution over the net does not support anything more than that.

 

when I am done with mine they are normally under 200k

 

 

this one is only 126k. not sure how much more detail would be visible if I had used 4-8x the bandwidth
