The Laff-a-Lympics #1 is the 1st Marvel Scooby Doo comic (pre-dates Scooby Doo #1), and Scooby's on the cover of all the Laff-a-lympics issues. These Hanna-Barbera books are among the toughest Bronze Age Marvels to find in any grade!

I have a question about this statement: Laff-a lympics 1 has a cover date, acc to He-who-hath-saved-comicdom-all, of Mar 1978 (see below) while scooby doo 1 has a cover date of oct 77, thus falling into the latter end of the 35 cent variant range? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

It is an error on CGC part. If you look in the census the other book in the series fall under 1978. The number five is listed as 07/78, that would mean number one would be 03/78. OS also lists it as 03/78.
