Barry Kitson first made his mark in the pages of the venerable UK anthology

2000AD. In the 90's Kitson jumped across the pond to DC Comics, where his

credits include JLA: Year One, Adventures of Superman, L.E.G.I.O.N.,

Azrael, The Titans, Flash and Green Lantern: The Brave and the Bold,

Batman: Shadow of the Bat, and JSA: Strange Adventures. He also co-created

Empire with writer Mark Waid, with whom he would later join on a relaunch

of Legion of Super-Heroes (later retitled Supergirl and the Legion of

Super-Heroes). He would later move to Marvel Comics where he would work on

titles such as Avengers/Thunderbolts, The Order, Secret Invasion: Fantastic

Four, The Amazing Spider-Man and Web of Spider-Man.

PHILIP TAN

Philip Tan is a Philippines-born artist who initially went to school to

study architecture, earning a Bachelor's Degree. By his mid-20's, he was

slowly growing to fame as a comic book artist - first working at DC Comics'

Wildstorm imprint on titles such as Taleweaver and Everquest, and then

moving to Marvel Comics where he worked on Uncanny X-Men and Iron Man.

From there, Tan moved on to even bigger fame as the artist on Spawn (with

writer David Hine), and later Spawn: Godslayer (with writer Brian Holguin).

Since 2008, Tan has been working exclusively with DC again, starting with a

sequence in DC Universe #0, which led to Final Crisis: Revelations with

writer Greg Rucka and the "Agent Orange" arc in Green Lantern with writer

Geoff Johns.

Currently, Tan is working with writer (and DC Comics co-publisher) Dan

Didio on the Outsiders for DC Comics.

CHRIS SPROUSE

ChrisSprouse.jpg

Before his debut in comics, Sprouse drew a comic strip entitled "Ber-Mander", for the school newspaper ("The Hyphen"), while attending Gar-Field Senior High School in Dale City, Virginia. After graduating in 1984, Sprouse attended James Madison University.

Sprouse launched his career in mainstream comics in 1989, his first credited work being a Chemical King story in an issue of DC Comics' Secret Origins. He then did a Two-Face story for Batman Annual #14 and then moved on to the limited series Hammerlocke. Sprouse then took on the sci-fi series Legionnaires, featuring teenaged versions of the characters in the Legion of Super-Heroes series, and eventually moved on to a number of one-shot and fill-in issues before illustrating a Star Wars mini-series, Splinter of the Mind's Eye, for Dark Horse Comics.

He then worked for Awesome Comics as the regular penciller of New Men, and in 1997, Sprouse drew several issues of Supreme, scripted by Alan Moore for the same publisher. After Supreme ended, a year later he and Moore created Tom Strong for America's Best Comics, for which Sprouse won two Eisner Awards in 2000, for Best Single Issue and Best Serialized Story. Sprouse was also the penciller on the 2004 Ocean mini-series, written by Warren Ellis and published by DC Comics. In 2007, Ocean was optioned for film.

In 2006, he began pencilling Wildstorm's Midnighter ongoing series, a spin-off of The Authority.

He is the artist on the first issue of Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne with Grant Morrison as writer, due in May 2010. He has also illustrated a story in April 2010's Human Target #1. A brand new Tom Strong mini-series - "Tom Strong and the Robots of Doom" debuts just days before the Toronto ComiCON in June!

Sprouse currently lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Xan.
