I've confirmed from a couple of artists that he is selling forgeries. I got suspicious when I saw the Cheung piece since I bought the exact same piece sold by the guy back in August.

I hope the person who won the JS Campbell sketch for $86 doesn't pay!

the thing to do is to contact each artist and have each artist contact eBay

so far Jim Cheung has filed a complaint. i notified Aaron Lopresti and he said it's a forgery. i don't know why ebay hasn't shut the guy down.

eBay is pretty useless in this situation...the auction ran it's course. I put a bid on the forgery and the seller simply cancelled my bid. I called him out and this was his response

you have the wrong person insufficiently_thoughtful_person.

I had to use my super anti-swear word translator (by reading the comicart-l posts) to figure that mo-ron translate into "insufficiently_thoughtful_person"

 

just like Mr. Giordano's first name was filtered when I posted about his passing.
