Stupid question - please forgive me

I went to see Neil Gaiman read from his book Anansi Boys back when it came out. He was willing to sign three items. I had him sign the aformetioned book, (duh), then I had him sign Signal to Noise and Sandman 75.

Nobody from CGC was there, but I know it was Neil who signed. I want to have this book forever.

When (if) I submit it for grading, what happens?

It gets a Qualified (green) label. But you only have to pay the Modern grading fee.

It will be graded as if the sig wasn't there so it won't affect the actual grade. It will however get the previously mentioned "qualified" green label and it will be annotated that it has "a name written on it".
