Future, March 1940 in GVG. Cool GGA sci-fi cover, very reminiscent of then-current Fox & Timely covers. Light stain upper left; pages lightly tanning on edges, chips to spine ends, some edge wear but looks quite nice.

$28

Thrilling Wonder Stories, June 1950 in 4.0/4.5. Fantastic GGA cover by Bergey (I love the lady's outfit!). Glossy book with bold colors, bold colorful spine. A handful of discreet small tears along the cover edges, else would be pushing Fine. Really pretty book.

$35 SOLD

Startling Stories, Sept. 1949 in VG/VG+. Super "good girl with gun"/dinosaur cover by Earle Bergey. The white horizontal streaks are part of the artwork, not defects. Couple of tears on the back. Colorful spine with fairly minimal wear.

Fantastic Adventures, Jan 1941 in VG/VG+. Really pretty purple GGA cover with, IMO, a rather 'suggestive' robot. Glossy book, above average condition with light wear; spine slightly faded.

Thrilling Wonder Stories, April 1950 in Good. Great Bergey cover with deep colors, but wear/tears around the edges; both covers have a 1.5" split at bottom; corner piece out on back. Spine has wear, but crisp & colorful. Presents well for grade.

G-Men, April 1939 in Good+. Neat detective pulp, which would have been on the stands right around the same time as Detective #27(!). There's some pencil tracing on the cover, and a heavy spine dent. Real pretty cover colors.

OK, on to some comics!

Babe #4 in 2.0. These Babe, Darling of the Hills comics are a real hoot. Boody Rogers was waaay out there in this series... think '50s Basil Wolverton and you have a general sense of the direction. Great cover, appealing copy but looks like silverfish damage has stripped away some of the spine paper. Cover is still attached at both staples. Pretty tough book.

$23 SOLD

A handful of duck books, and I'll call it a night. :)

Walt Disney Comics & Stories #26 in 2.5. Great early WDCS with the classic Donald Duck football cover. Fun stuff inside, including several WWII-themed features. General wear, some dirt/foxing on cover. Bright creamy pages. Solid affordable copy. OS Guide is about $100 in grade.

Great price! I love this cover. I'd be all over it if I didn't already have a copy. Hey, who cares about the centerfold missing it isn't Baker in the centerfold :)
