Does this spine look touched up, or did all Batman 232's have a metallic blue spine?

Looks more like someone used the spine as a straight edge for a painting project.

I don't know. I emailed an eBay seller, and this is one of 3 photos they sent back. I don't think I'll be bidding.

Is it even considered amateur restoration? I mean, if writing on the cover isn't considered restoration then why would this? There just doesn't seem to have been an attempt to restore this comic. Using it as a straight edge? Possibly

Does that spot on the spine look like that in any other pictures. Sometimes the camera flash can play tricks on the book.

Yes, the other pictures look the same. I can't post them, as there's a 150K limit, and my reduced photos are on my home PC. Here's the link to the auction. Too high for my blood with that kind of risk. Plus, there's a nice bend on the spine in the middle of the comic.
