Flash Gordon page (Raymond), price?

Hi,

 

I was just wondering how much an Alex raymond "Flash Gordon" page would go for these days?

 

I don't own one and I'd probaby never be able to afford one.

But I am just curious.

Certain years are more than others. I believe 1935-1937 are considered his prime.

I love Alex Raymond's work. I hope that you can find a good example for your collection!

 

In light of my respect for Raymond's amazing work, I hope this doesn't appear as a slight (or a crazy statement), but I think I love Mac Raboy's Flash Gordon work even more. The inking that he did on that strip was just unbelievable.... I think it's some of the greatest comic-related illustrative work I've ever seen. And the crazy part is $1200 is kind of high for a Raboy. You can get equally good ones for $700-$800. I think they are under priced but that's what they go for.

I agree with you that they can be had cheaper.... I mentioned this one because I thought this one was a particularly good example.
