This small one-day show is getting big!!

Not a good day for my Neal Adams collection but a great day for my Peanuts and Disney. There are (2) Peanuts #4's. One I hope to slab for my registry set and another nice raw copy because the price was impossible to beat.

Here my latest acquisitions:

Journey into Mystery Annual #1 - Purchased from an IG user.

Brave and the Bold #44 - Purchased from an Ebay seller, but not through Ebay. Now I just need BatB #43 in CGC 7.0 or higher, and I will have BatB #34 - #36, #42 - #44, and Hawkman #1 in CGC 7.0 or above.

Seven Sgt. Fury books, purchased from @MatterEaterLad. I only need issues #2 and #5, and I will have the first ten issues of Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos.

In regard to buying not using Ebay, I do this quite often. I found the BatB #44 on Ebay. The book was listed at $274.95, with $16.90 for shipping, and the seller was listed as PristineComics.

I googled Pristine Comics, and I found that it was a brick-and-mortar store. I called the store, and I offered $250 for the book with $10 for shipping. The owner agreed to this price.

Had I purchased this through Ebay, the price would have been $274.95 + $16.90 (shipping) + $19.25 (taxes), or $311.10. I saved $50+ by doing this.

Been super busy with selling my house and moving but have had a few purchases in the the last week or so. Went to Troy, NY to visit RPI with my GF's son on Saturday so a trip to a LCS was in order. Aquilonia Comics was right around the corner from the hotel so I took a walk to see what they had. Mostly copper and moderns with some occasional bronze thrown in. Very disorganized boxes but I did manage to dig out a few gems. I found a few cheap VF/NM range Byrne FF's and a few nice silver Thor books (I guess the KS #3 is technically Bronze...) The #131 is a nice book. 9.0, maybe a 9.2. The 132 and KS appear to be around VF, maybe VF-. Price was right on all three.
