I finally decided to take the plunge and start up my SA collection. There is definitely a different feeling when purchasing a SA book than a modern. For me, it just seems like more was put into the covers back then. But I digress, the following is a very humble start to the collection:

Welcome, you’ll quickly start to see what made Marvel… Marvel.

Not to despise DC, but it’s a different conception… ;)

Hello, I am relatively new to the graded comics, but not new to comics. I have been a Raw Purist for years, and have come to realize that a graded book does more than hold value, it is also a good way to showcase your books with out further damage.

I have a few SA books that are not graded yet or are in process and when I get them back I will post pics. I have been away for sometime as a collector and have recently graduating back into this hobby, now only focusing on grail books for my personal enjoyment, such as the search for AF15 FF1 Hulk1 ect....

As with everyone I want the 9.8 but in all reality I would like to even have a 1.0 just to say i have it.. I will strive for at least Mid grade if at all possible though.

Books I have acquired recently are ASM 20, ASM 13, JiM 83a, Avengers 55 waiting on grade atm.

I do want to have pure unaltered books but I did purchase a restored book, and I am unsure whether to have it graded or just keep it raw. I have been told by other collectors that it is easily a 9.2 and if I do grade it I would most likely get it signed so as to at least have the gold label which should help its value some.

What do you all think of a Gold restored book ?

I dont plan on ever selling any of my books but If i did have to I would want to get the most someone would pay for a book.

thanks DJ

Huge thank you to Andy for this one and most of all, his patience while I paid it off....

Zero exist on CGC census. There is a crazy cool collector in Argentina with the entire run of this book and he wont sell for no less than $1000. By end of summer I hopefully will have them from every country there are a total of 16 covers including the original Cap 100. Stan will be signing
