With that stain on the back I would probably go with 4.0 possible 4.5.

The stain probably makes it a 4.0/4.5...especially if how far it goes through the book. Very nicely presenting copy though for the technical grade!

I don't know that that's a stain...looks like the cover was folded over at one point (upper left).

 

I'd agree on 4.5. Hard to tell from the small scan what's going on along the spine. Looks like maybe some tears or chips?
