Or the inside back cover - I have a couple of really late printings (believe they're 17th print, 18th print, something like that) downstairs and the printing info is in the back, not the front.

the trade is out with everything...

ebay it...

Ordering it right now. I am sorry for the googletard, off the cuff question, but appreciate the answer. :D

Get the Director's Cut hardcover instead - you should be able to find it relatively cheap on ebay (it's out of print).

I've got the 1st printing. it doesn't say what printing it is on the inside front page its all to do with the advert page on the insdie back cover. I've got a pic of it somewhere, i'll try to find it & get it uploaded although I'm bad at this so bear with me.

p.s. if you like Johnny try Lenore & or a comic called Bear.

The inside front cover. as you can see no info on printing number where as later printings will state 11th printing etc. It had taken me ages of searching the internet to find out this info on the 1st printing. hope this helps with your search. always ask them what the comic is advertising on the inside back cover

So i was going through my old things and I came across my johnny collection. I'm pretty sure they are all more recent editions, but i did find an interesting one. Its JTHM Signed by johnen on a #1 Special Edition comic. It must've been from a signing he did i'm assuming in 96.

Its all on the inside cover, pretty cool actually.

Up top it has "JTHM #1: Magical Special Edition"

Then a pretty good pretext about the special edition, which is very amusing and definitely written from johnen

followed by a little area that says "Here is where I Sign!!" followed by his sig. and 477/2000

then an e-mail address.

Then there is the little legal area that gives me the 1996 date...

"Johnny the Homicidal Maniac #1- Amazingly Limited Edition August 1996-..."

Anyone ever seen one or know what it might go for right now?

Kind of looking to unload the whole collection, including the 4 squee's, 2 i feel sicks and I actually have 7 or 8 copies of the previously mentioned Bear comic, which was amazing, and still is ha ha.

This one? Wild guess, maybe $100 if it's a 9.8 like this one, but I don't have access to GPA or anything to be sure.

Raw copies sell for $30 or so - a CGC 9.8 would probably be worth about $200.

They pop up on ebay from time to time - I think I have 4 raw & 2 slabbed copies in my own collection.

wow, when did they start grading comics? I have always been more of a card collector and comic appreciator. Worked at a baseball card store from when i was 8 to 19 and was the ccg specialist pretty much the whole time. Used to have tournaments in everything... magic, starwars, pokemon, yugioh. I knew they had been grading cards for a long time.

CGC was launched around 10 years ago, so, yeah, comic book grading has been around for a while.
