I think the marker on the cover will hurt the hammer price a good amount

 

I think you have a point.

 

But im thinking it has to out do the 3.0 weve seen [former koko copy] by a fair margin. It is a point and a half spread there.

This copy sold for about 28k in the P. Weiss auction in February. There shouldn´t be much room left to go up. Maybe another 5k, but if Heritage didn´t buy these books from PW to resell them themselves, the seller will most likely not make a win, considering the fees he´ll have to pay to list it on HA.

I know its only a 4.5 Blue but 4.5 blue for Detective # 1 is quite impressive.

Im calling this book at 36 to 40k. What ya think?

 

i think it's the greatest cover in the history of comics. no, the best cover in the history of periodicals. maybe the best cover art in any medium. maybe hell, it IS the best.
