I have started to focus on more "key" books and realized that I have a few 1st SA appearances.....Can't afford the major ones (AF 15, Hulk 1, FF 1) just yet, but I am working on a nice little run of books.....

Nice idea for a thread.

 

I wouldn't say that Showcase 30 is the first Silver Age appearance of Aquaman, though. Aquaman was one of the few ongoing DC features for most of the 50's, and by the time SC 30 came out he'd been a regular backup for the 5 years since SC 4 started the Silver Age. He also had his origin updated for the SA a year before in Adventure. But...still a very cool key--the first time he soloed on a comic cover and this issue launched a successful solo run in his own title.
