8.5, looks almost identical to my raw copy right now....I think mine has a shot at 9.0 but if you don't mind, I can throw up my book in the same thread for comparison sake.

The difference for CGC between 8.5 and 9.0 seems to be their ascertainment of the roundedness of the corners...so this book looks borderline which makes me somewhat borderline as well...

It's funny...I upgraded this issue (or so I thought), but when I pulled this one out, it was better than I thought

ok, now that I pulled it out of the box..it actually appears nicer than I thought...I had a mental picture of what it was...I am going senile too

 

a) it is cleaner and whiter but the left side/spine of the book is similar.

b) the lower right corner is a little sharper

c) the spine ticks and stress points on the back cover are very similar but because my copy is cleaner, it is less "visible"

d) I still think it is a 9.0...I might get lucky with a gift grade higher like 9.2 if I submitted.

9.2 if those spine ticks on the BC and the top spine corner don't look as bad in hand as they do in the scan (otherwise 9.0). (thumbs u
