X-Men 12-missing pieces or chips?

I need some opinions whether the missing right corners on this book represent missing pieces that would drop the grade to 4.0 or 4.5; or are they chips that could allow the book to grade higher? The bottom corner is missing about 1/8th inch in both directions. The top corner is a little bit less. [/img]

Yes, the former. chips are missing pieces. I think you're being too literal in your interpretation.

Seem to be just pieces missing.

 

Marvel chipping (I think that's what you mean) usually occurs on the vertical edge, which actually looks pretty nice on your book.
