Can Anyone gives us a blow by blow of the fun at San Diego Comic Con?

24 posts in this topic

Some perspective:

My first San Diego: 1991 total attendance 18,000

My most recent San Diego: 2000 total attendance 40,000

San Diego 2010: total attendance 130,000

Old Days: 900-1200 comic book dealers

New Days: less than 100 (probably less than 75)

Old Days hang out with artists in Artist Alley.

New Days: Cant get to Artist Alley since it is at the FAR end of the convention

Old Days: Get into any panel anytime.

New Days: The line is how long? What do you mean the room is full?

The biggest comic and original art dealers are here.

Showed be named Film,Television, Toy, and Video Game Con before Comic.

The only full rooms and long lines to get into panels I've seen are for all the film and game stuff. I haven't had any problem getting into any of the comic-related panels.
