The Rocketeer book out at SDCC this year is the "artist's edition"

 

It's printed to the original size of the original pieces of art...close to 12x18.

 

It's also shot directly from the original pieces of art. You can see all the little details that Dave worked on, changed, and see how the pieces were created.

 

I had to send a 200MB scan of my page of original art to the publisher so that they could reproduce it faithfully.

 

There were only 1600 printed, and if you are a fan of Stevens artwork, this is one of the few MUST OWNS that are out there.

If you can find one it is worth every penny. Stunning book. I hope to see more like it (not too many, just when the material is really worth it)
