I was searching for cool GA covers at Heritage and stumbled into this.

 

Same book auctioned two times within few months. (recognised it because of the date stamp)

Note the Blue Beetle was submitted after the San Diego comicon deluge of cgc submissions. Also, the cgc graders may have lowered the grade to 8.5 after being in AWE of the horde of Nic Cage/Metropolis ultra-hi grade gold bks.

Now over two years and 1100 posts later, that unfortunate Blue Beetle 50 is finally back in 9.0 slab.

 

July 4, 2002, Sold for $1150 as CGC 9.0

 

December 5, 2002, Sold for $690 as CGC 8.5

 

November 20, 2003, Sold for $1035 as CGC 8.5

 

Back again as 9.0 popcorn.gifacclaim.gif
